Due to the rapidly changing status of the COVID-19 coronavirus, changes to our programs and summer camps may be updated.


  • Running camps at 70% capacity
  • Increasing sanitizing and cleaning protocols
  • Cabins will be at 50% capacity leaving a bed between each camper
  • Social distance recommendations will be monitored and enforced
  • Monitoring updates regularly to ensure the most recent and accurate information is available to our staff
  • Equip hand washing stations with hand sanitizer

Canadian Parents for French, Nova Scotia is still planning for an exciting 2020 summer camp season.   There are a range of camps available for all French levels and activities. All camps provide a great opportunity for kids to continue learning and to enhance their French over the summer.

French camp is:

· A wonderful re-fresher over the summer months

· The perfect introduction for students entering late immersion.

· A great way to make new and lasting friendships.

French camp is a great way to learn and reinforce language skills, make new friends, and have fun this summer!

Camp MacLeod, CPF Sidney:  cancelled for 2020.

Francoforum: July 5 – July 10, 2020, ages 14-18 (Core French and French immersion).

Nautical Camp, Magdalen Islands: cancelled for 2020.

Camp Chocolat, Halifax: Session 1, Monday July 6 – Friday July 10, 2020 ; Session 2, Monday July 13 – Friday July 17, 2020  ages 6-10 (French immersion)

Camp du Soleil, Dartmouth: Session 1, Monday July 20 – Friday July 24, 2020 ; Session 2, Monday July 27 – Friday July 31, 2020 ages 6-10 (French immersion)

Camp Frantastique, Digby County:  August 3 – August 7, 2020  ages 10-14 (Core French and French immersion)

Camp de la Baie, Sambro Head:   August 23 – August 29, 2020, ages 10-14 (Core French and French immersion)

Note: Please complete ONE registration form for EACH CHILD and for each camp. Registrations with more than one child’s name will not be accepted.

Junior and Senior Counsellors

Each year, Canadian Parents for French – Nova Scotia provides an opportunity for over 500 students across Nova Scotia to attend French camp, a week-long immersion in the French language.  Canadian Parents for French, Nova Scotia is presently accepting applications for Junior and Senior Counsellor positions.
