August 5th, 2021- L’Alliance Française Halifax is hosting a free outdoor screening of the Canadian film “Félix et le trésor de Morgäa” on Saturday, August 14 at 8pm.  This event is sponsored by le Conseil Communautaire du Grand-Havre, l’école secondaire du Sommeil, Canadian Parents for French-NS, la Fédération des parents acadiens de la Nouvelle-Écosse, and the program Vice Versa.

Although this movie has just been released in February of this year, it has already been nominated in six international festivals.

“Felix, convinced that his father who disappeared at sea two years earlier may still be alive, sets out to find him. Felix is accompanied by Tom, a retired sailor, Quack, a one-legged parrot, and Ulysses, a cat who acts like a dog. Their journey takes them to an underground city where a secret society lives. This secret city is run by the megalomaniac Morgäa, who also holds a secret treasure.

This animated film by Nicole Lemay (85 minutes runtime) takes the audience on an adventure with Felix and Tom, an. adventurous intergenerational duo.

Join us at école du Sommeil on 500 Larry Uteck Blvd at 8:00pm. Attendees will receive a free copy of the book “Félix et le trésor de Morgäa’. This book was written in 2020 by Edith Bourget.
