Meet the CPF Nova Scotia Branch Board of Directors 2023- 2024
President | Bailey Ross
(2017 -2024)
Bailey Ross is a recent graduate of Acadia University. He presently teaches French as a First Language with the Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial (CSAP). He has also worked for Parks Canada and at Government House.
Originally from Digby, Nova Scotia, Baily is an Early French immersion graduate. In 2019, Bailey was invited to attend the Officially 50! Bilingual Summit as a youth representative. Bailey has also volunteered with the Conseil jeunesse provincial de la Nouvelle-Ecosse (CJP) and is presently Treasurer with the Société nationale de l’Acadie (SNA).
Bailey has served as VP and is starting his first term as President.
Vice-President | Salma Khattab
(2021-2024)
Salma Khattab graduated from Citadel High School. Salma was a Concours d’art oratoire winner in the Late Immersion category at both the provincial and national level in 2021. Salma joined the Board of Directors in 2021 as a youth representative.
Salma is presently completing her undergraduate science degree and is continuing her chosen career path as a medical practitioner with the Canadian Forces.
Salma is starting her first term as Vice President.
Treasurer | Maryse Truax
(2020-2024)
Maryse works at Le Petit Voilier, a non-profit early education centre with locations in five CSAP schools. Maryse worked for 18 years at the IWK Children’s Hospital. She has completed many hours of volunteer work with the IWK, her children’s schools and sport associations.
Maryse is starting her third term as Treasurer.
Secretary | Guillaume Fleury
(2018-2024)
Originally from Normandy in France, Guillaume graduated from his B.Ed. from Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) in 2019. Since then, he has been working and teaching for the Conseil Scolaire Acadien Provincial (CSAP). He currently works at École Rose-des-Vents, in Greenwood.
He hopes to inspire future generations and pass on his passion for French! Guillaume is in his second term as Board Secretary.
Director | Luc Tardif
(2017-2024)
Luc Tardif is the Director of International Recruitment at Université Sainte-Anne. Luc was involved with CPF Nova Scotia’s Forum des Fous project in 2010. He is also an accomplished musician.
Luc represents Université Sainte-Anne on the CPF Nova Scotia Board. Luke is starting his 4th term with CPF.

Executive Director | Rebecca Lancaster
Rebecca has an undergraduate degree and a graduate diploma in Administration for Non-Profit Organizations from Concordia University. She learned French in a classe d’accueil at École secondaire Saint-Luc in Montreal. Rebecca has been the Executive Director of CPF Nova Scotia since 2005.
Rebecca has dedicated her career to working with non-profits, from theatres to art galleries to summer camps and more! She is also an exemplary volunteer and has volunteered at daycares, taught female entrepreneurs computer skills, and was on the founding committee of the Musquodoboit Harbour Farmers Market.
Presently she is the Vice President for the Atlantic Rhododendron and Horticultural Society. In 2021, she was a facilitator and tech support for the virtual American Rhododendron Society 2021 Spring Convention. Rebecca was also a member of the organizing committee and volunteer for the North American Rock Garden 2023 conference held in Truro, NS. She is presently part of the organizing committee for the 2025 American Rhododendron Spring Convention to be held in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
She became a certified Master Gardener in 2017. She is a passionate gardener.
Office Manager and Camp Coordinator | Stacy Nadeau
Stacy Nadeau is a dynamic and accomplished professional. She brings her passion for business, technology, a strong educational background, and a deep connection to her heritage to her role as a Branch Manager. Stacy has already made significant strides in her career since joining the Nova Scotia branch as a summer student in 2017.
With a NSCC Business diploma, specializing in Entrepreneurship and Management, she possesses the knowledge and expertise necessary to work with her CPF colleagues across the country. Stacy’s journey has been marked by determination and resilience. Growing up in Grand Falls, NB, she navigated the challenges of pursuing her education in her second language, as a Francophone who attended English elementary and secondary schools.
Beyond her career, Stacy enjoys spending her time in nature hiking and gardening. Her Métis roots infuse her life with a rich cultural tapestry, adding a unique perspective to her professional and informal endeavours.
Stacy will be on maternity leave March 2024.
