New this year! CPF Nova Scotia is offering two weeks of French camp for immersion and core French students. Camp Breton is a week-long overnight camp that is open to campers aged 10 to 14 years. Perfect for students in the CBVRCE and SRCE!
Camp Breton is located on the Mira River in Cape Breton, NS and offers swimming, sports, crafts and games. Cabins have showers and washrooms. There are 3 cabins, farmhouse and a large dining room. Camp has access to private waterfront. Campers sleep in cabins with an assigned counsellor.
The first day of camp is an orientation day with instructions and rules outlined in English, after which campers are expected to participate in French. Support and assistance to aid the campers’ vocabulary will be continuous. Morning and evening sessions will have campers participating in language activities in small groups; afternoons will be dedicated to the various recreational and arts programs offered. Activities will vary depending on weather conditions during camp.
