Les professeurs peuvent être nominés par les parents, étudiants, ou même leurs collègues. Ces professeurs se démarquent en encourageant leurs étudiants de faire de leur mieux et en contribuant à leur école et dans leur communauté.

CPF NOVA SCOTIA CONFERENCE AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2022

Halifax, Nova Scotia (October 6th, 2022) – Canadian Parents for French, Nova Scotia held its 45th Conference and Annual General meeting on October 1st, 2022. Board members, staff, delegates, special guests, and award recipients were able to gather in person after two years of virtual AGMs. The conference took place at the Oak Island Conference and Resort Centre on the South Shore of the province. Delegates from CPF PEI were happy to be at the conference as they were still without power after Hurricane Fiona.

Kimberley Messenger and Alannah MacLean named FS Educators of the year Halifax, Nova Scotia (October 7th, 2022) – Each year, Canadian Parents for French, Nova Scotia recognizes excellence in French Second Language teaching with its FSL Educator of the Year award. Nominations are received from across the province from students, parents and colleagues that testify to teachers who motivate their students to achieve their best and who make a significant contribution to their school and community.

Triplets compete in French Public Speaking Contest-Concours d’art Oratoire 2022

Students gathered from all corners of the province after three years to participate in French public speaking contest Halifax. May 9th, 2022: In a first for the Concours d’art oratoire, provincially and nationally, a set of triplets competed in the early immersion category. Executive Director Rebecca Lancaster who has organized the event since 2005 commented, “We have students who participate each year, and we have definitely had multiple siblings compete from a family, but I have never had a set of triplets participating!”

The 38th annual Concours d’art oratoire (French public speaking contest) is fast approaching and once again, Canadian Parents for French, Nova Scotia is looking for volunteers! Le 38e Concours d’art oratoire sera le 7 mai 2022 et Canadian Parents for French- Nouvelle-Écosse ont besoin des bénévoles! Des postes pour des bénévoles incluent : les juges, les questionnaires, les animateurs et les chronométreurs.

French Advocacy Breakfast

On Tuesday April 5th, 2022, Canadian Parents for French, Nova Scotia held its first provincial French Second Language Advocacy Breakfast- "French Toast, un déjeuner avec nos MLAs.” CPF Nova Scotia’s Board of Directors and staff were joined by Members of the Legislative Assembly, as well as representatives from local universities and Alliance Française Halifax.
